POTUS has been spending a lot of time lately in the Briefing Room. Only because his normal locations for speeches and events have been taken over with either severe cold (the Rose Garden) or Christmas decorations (East Room,Diplomatic Reception Room, etc.). Today was the day the WH delivered their summary of the annual Afghanistan-Pakistan strategy and he came to the briefing room with several others to talk about it. So for about 20 minutes, I was in the same room as POTUS, VPOTUS, the Secretary of State (former FLOTUS), the Secretary of Defense, and the Vice Chair of the Joint Chiefs of Staff. That was a lot of power at the podium! There were also a lot of faces in the WH press corps that I didn't recognize!
