There's No Place Like Home

I'm officially home from Japan now! I think I'm going on hour #35 or #36 of being awake and I'm going strong! I think I might be over tired because I'm still wired and may require medication to get me to sleep tonight! I stayed awake on the flight mostly on purpose so I could sleep at normal times now that I'm home. I ended up watching two movies, "Fool's Gold" and "Vantage Point" which both were almost okay. Matthew McConaughey had his shirt off for over half the movie which made it viewable. Anyway, my plan to stay awake was helped because I had the seat right next to the one of the bathrooms and the light was so bright every time someone went in or out that it kept me awake. So I went back to where the flight attendants hang out to request they stop serving beverages to the entire section of the plane or put a "Out of Order" sign on the door. That plan didn't really work but I ended up hanging out with them and a few SS agents in the back galley of the plane. It was actually quite fun. After watching the movie "Vantage Point" which is about the President getting shot and different vantage points of the aftermath including most of all the SS, I thought it would be appropriate to find out what's true in real life. I could figure a thousand things out right off the bat because I've been traveling for 3 years and know somewhat how it should look. But I wanted answers to other questions and unfortunately the agents wouldn't spill the beans. I guess that's why the first word in their title is "Secret". But that's okay, I'll keep them on Becky detail anyway!

Also in my time awake and in the galley, I decided it was time to wait on the flight attendants. They are always so good to us. It's generally the same crew for all our international flights so we've gotten to know each other quite well over the many trips. So I decided I was going to be in charge of one of the refrigerator carts of drinks and ask anyone else who came back if I could help them. A few hours later, I had my name on refrigerator cart and the title of honorary flight attendant. I offered to help serve the meal but then I realized I was kind of in the way with my Cart #703 duty. They were serving breakfast which was going to confuse me if I ate it since it was really past dinner time so I skipped it. The other option for food was duck and I'm just not sure how good duck can be on a plane. I opted for the Japanese yogurt.

Now that I'm home sweet home, I have the rest of the week off to recover so you won't be hearing from me! Hopefully I will be able to post pictures in the coming days. And hopefully jet lag won't be too bad and I'm sure I'll wake up being fine! Oh, and PTL that my ears didn't really hurt much! Thanks for the prayers!
