Wedding #116

I love weddings!! And I have enough experience to be a professional wedding attender! If only that were a legitimate job! I think I've been to 116 weddings in the past decade. That number may be slightly off but not by much. I took time to actually count a couple of years ago but I can't devote the time for a recount these days. The recount of 2000 took weeks!!

This past weekend, it was time to celebrate my college friend, Dave's (Widge's) marriage to Angela and it was quite the gathering of my Hokie friends. Especially since the expectations are so high, this post won't do it justice as I have had to jump right back into the work mode but suffice it to say that I had a blast getting to see everyone!! In this particular group, we haven't gotten together in about four or five years. I actually had forgotten how much fun we had together and even though we hadn't hung out in quite some time, we had such a great time! We just picked up right where we left off! We all told our favorite Widge stories and there were plenty to choose from. It was just really cool to see everyone and pass around pictures of the kids (some were brave enough to bring their kids with them!) The other highlight of any wedding from college friends is doing the Hokey Pokey. Actually it's the Hokie Pokey in our books. I think it's a cheesy tradition in any other setting but at a Hokie friend's wedding, it's a must!!
But the highlight of the wedding was finding my #1 fans. Congrats to Bobby and Sarah for winning that title!! I've known Bobby since about the first grade but we hadn't chatted in a few years. Who knew that he was more up to date on my life than actually I am!! It was great to see them along with the rest of the bunch!!

Becky, thanks so much for posting about Widge's wedding. Evan and I were so sad that we missed it. Love the pictures. Hi Sarah and Bobby!

Small World...I started reading your blog after Ed Stetzer mentioned it. I really enjoy your posts. I saw the pic of you and Dave, and thought, "I went to jr. high and high school with him!"
